Is this the most Pristine Beach on Earth- St. Thomas

Another day another beach we explored. We stayed so close to one of the best beach Lindquist beach, and people were right about this beach being one of the best. There were picnic tables and hammocks to lounge on. It was such a pleasant day we got to spend on the beach. We went there early and there were hardly any people. By the time, we left around 2 pm, there were few more people, still not very crowded. Again, the water had same shades of blue and turquoise. There was a floating bar as well on the beach. It was weekend, so there were some local families hanging out. If it was weekday, I am sure there would be very few people. We had nice brunch at The Easterly. It was such a nice place. The food was good and the again the ambiance was great. We looked so messy though, as we went directly from beach. They had these swings that I really wanted to swing on them. We tried avocado toast and waffles with tamarind glaze and passionfruit butter. Tamarind glaze was surprising element and I am going to try making something similar at home.

We wanted to hit another beach, so we decided to take trip to Maagen’s Bay Beach. It’s a half an hour ride from where we were at. We spent few hours there and then got our food from Charlotte Amalie a place called Greengos Cantina. We decided to do take out and as B wanted to watch super bowl. Overall, the food was okay. I liked the nachos, but mains were okay. We spent most of the time at the rental enjoying some drinks and breeze. I loved watching stars from our balcony.

I am not a great snorkeler, even though I know how to swim. I am just so scared of water and feel so claustrophobic. So, we decided that we should try the sea trek experience at Coral World. So, the next day we decided to do coral world to experience going 20 feet under water and experience some sea world. It was a nice activity. I would recommend you do it if you have time and want to experience it. I was scared but so were other people in the group. Lol. We also bought videos and pictures from that activity. The best part was a big fish that was diver’s pet (puppy). She would go everywhere the diver moved around helping us. It was sticking to his chest. It was the cutest thing. We saw some underwater fishes and coral life.

Nachos with a view

We also wanted to do some boat trip for snorkeling. B wanted to book a whole private boat or catamaran just for two of us. Reminds me of that song – just the two of us. But I was not very convinced to spend so much money and that too I was terrified of snorkeling. So, we decided to do boat tour which was for few hours. There were people on that boat tour, but it was fun to be around some human beings. It was such a good experience again. The boat tour took us to turtle cove and you get to swim with turtles. They provide you with swim gear like snorkels and fins etc. They also provided us with drinks and snack. I had several glasses of the famous drink painkiller. It was such an amazing day. I would highly recommend you do sailing at least for a day.

Day on Catamaran

After the boat tour, on our way we stopped to have some coconut water and buy some island fruits.

If you are in St. Thomas, you should make a stop at pizza but around tutu mall to find this guy who is so interesting and passionate about coconuts. It was a good idea. He loved to talk too. His name is Elroy Allen, the coconut man. Please stop at his stall and buy some coconuts.

On our last night, we wanted to have dinner at a nice place. We chose Agave as it looked good every time we passed by that place. We were so right. The food and service were great. We ordered way too much food. We tried their plantains, cheese fries, vegetarian tacos and chicken wrap, we also ordered some dessert churros with caramel. We were so full.

For our final day, we were not ready to say goodbye that easily. We decided to spend few hours before checking out at Coki Beach. I am so glad, we went there. We saw so many fishes. We even got to feed them. There was a local man who brought us some dog biscuits and we all fed the fishes and I took several videos and pictures. It was outstanding experience and it was so close to the beach too. Do not miss out on Coki beach. There were very few people there.

All in all, it was a fabulous time we had. I cannot wait to return. I kept telling B, that I would have loved to spend some more time here. Every beach you go, the water is beautiful and clean and clear.

Must try

Local drinks – 1. Bushwhacker– it was okay for me. 2. Painkiller – my favorite

Some of the local food to try

1.Johnny Cake – It’s like fried bread. I tried it, but it wasn’t very fresh. Try to get a fresh one, it would be really good.

2.Pate – I didn’t get to try it. It’s like empanada with different fillings.

3. Fungi – loved it.

Not to miss beaches

1.Coki Beach

2.Lindquist Beach

3.Maagen’s Bay

4.Trunk Bay

5.Maho Bay

6. Hawks nest

7.Cinnamon Bay Beach

There are many more places and activities to do than what we did and so many options are also available. I hope you enjoyed reading and seeing pictures from our trip. If you made it so far, then you are great. I really loved sharing each detail as much as possible with you. Let me know, if you have any comments or questions. It has been such crazy year for all of us. I am glad and feel blessed to be able to celebrate my birthday in St. Thomas and spend some time away from home.
