Ghee and Jaggery Oatmeal
If you are like me who does not like oatmeal, you should try making it again. Store-bought oatmeal porridge is not so delicious in my opinion. Its so quick and easy to make some at home and store it in the refrigerator for meal planning your breakfast needs.
I usually use oats in Indian style quick stir-fried savory breakfast or use it in cookies, binding or in breads. I will share my oats upma or poha recipe one of these days. I am more of savory breakfasts person.
This is literally me making sweet oatmeal at home for the first time and it is so delicious. I wasn’t sure if it needs a blogpost, but why not? Who knows, if Instagram will be around forever. I don’t want to miss out on sharing the delicious recipe.
Anytime, I visualize oatmeal I thought of halwa or sheero that we make in Indian households.
What is unique or different about this oatmeal recipe?
I have used three of the most common ingredients used in our house for desserts.
Cardamom
Jaggery
Ghee
The smell of this oatmeal was outstanding, all thanks to amazingness of ghee and cardamom.
Try this recipe, if you do not have ghee at home and you have butter, try to make brown butter and add that to the oatmeal. Just a small spoon will create magic. Lol
Hope you like this simple and easy recipe.
