Nectarine and Mango Salsa
Quick and easy salsa recipe that’s refreshing and perfect to upgrade your snacking game anytime. It is also prefect for any BBQs, parties etc. It comes together in no time and any one can help you with assembling it.
I made this for a potluck and even though it was such a simple dish, everyone loved it.
I guess it must be that good.
I love everything about this summer-time appetizer! You can serve it with pita chips, tortilla chips, crackers or mini pita bites. I found some mini pita bites at the market and I loved having it with the salsa. I grilled them slightly, to make them sturdier.
The sweetness of mango, slight tartness from nectarine combines with red peppers and sharpness of onions with jalapenos adding some subtle heat is just the right mix of sweetness and crunch.
This salsa served with any kind of chips makes a delicious appetizer or hors d’oeuvre which also looks pretty on any party table because of the all those colors. You can really include any of your favorite fruits in this salsa. You can swap nectarine to peach, pineapple, etc.
The flavors are simple and fresh. See which fruits compliment each other.
If you chop up the fruits in small pieces, it makes it easier to scoop it.
You can use the salsa for tacos, or if you eat fish. It goes well as a topping also in recipes.
Nectarine season is in full swing and we have been eating a fair share of it either in salads, grilled or in desserts. I can’t get enough.
For best results, make sure you use some semi firm nectarines, not the mushy ones as they will integrate and disappear. A sweet ripe mango would be great to have to balance out flavors.
Using fresh nectarine, mango, red bell pepper, onion, and jalapeño, this salsa is the most perfect marriage of spicy and sweet that you’ll keep coming back.
And the best part? It’s super-easy to make!
